The Maw of the River (Trophy Gold Incursion)

It has always been said by the fishwives and the river folk that underneath the hallowed cisterns of Adara the people who tend the mouth of the river guard a terrible secret. They whisper of a beast hidden at the maw of the river; a god of scales and teeth that harbors such a hunger that no feast or sacrifice had ever sated it. But for those who tried it gave of its own flesh and with it a boon of everlasting life. Not just for your own but for the crops, the fish, and the swelling tides that brought more and more to the harbors of Adara seeking their esteem. The people of Adara bid that their prosperity should never end and the Maw of the River provided. Until one day, it grew bored with the selfsame sacrifices and indolent nobility who had saved only the best for themselves. That was the day that Adara drowned.

Travel to the sunken cisterns beneath Adara and uncover the riches left upon the river. Face down carrion wildlife, cannibal cultists, and perhaps the Maw of the River itself as you ford down the river Peina searching for your fortune. It all lies there for taking. But every meal must come with some sacrifice. Life is the fuel of life.

The Maw of the River is an Incursion for Trophy Gold that takes treasure hunters beneath a hidden cistern to face off against a cannibal cult that makes meals of its sacrifices. This Incursion is text complete (Mostly) and is playable now with a basic layout and minimal art. My intention is to simply getting the work out there and if there is interest finish the layout and art design as I hone those skills myself with the help of the wonderful indie tabletop rpg community. 

In this state the incursion is PWYW but as updates come and more work is put into it the price will increase to reflect that so get in now if this is something that interests you.
